ABSTRACT: This study investigates strategies for integrating cultural awareness into vocational training, emphasizing the importance of preparing students for diverse workplaces. The objectives were to (1) assess the current level of cultural awareness in vocational training programs, (2) identify effective methods for teaching cultural awareness, and (3) propose strategies for integrating cultural awareness into the vocational curriculum. A survey design was employed to gather data from students, educators, and administrators to understand the state of cultural awareness education. The sample size included 200 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to ensure diverse perspectives on cultural training. The case study focused on Kaduna State, Nigeria, known for its multicultural population. Findings indicated that cultural awareness was often overlooked in vocational training programs. Effective methods identified included incorporating cultural studies into existing courses, using case studies of multicultural workplaces, and facilitating intercultural exchanges. Recommendations included integrating cultural awareness into all aspects of vocational training, providing professional development for educators on cultural competency, and creating partnerships with multicultural organizations to enhance the cultural training component of vocational programs.
